He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston and Ressie Tankersley of Taylors; and his brothers, Kenneth and Don. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McClain Tankersley; his daughters, Mary Ellen T. Tobias (Robert) and Lorre T. Norton (Scott); his grandson Chase Alan Norton of Blythewood; and his nieces and nephews, Don L. Harrison (Missy), Katheryn McCollum, Kenneth Tankersley (Chip), Paul Tankersley (Chuck) and Melody Tankersley.
