He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher Davis and Mary Lucas Cooper, Sr.; and his siblings, Fletcher Davis Cooper, Jr., Johnny William Cooper and Geneva Rowe.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Smith Cooper; and his children, Davis "Bubba" B. Cooper (Monica) and Mary Cooper Parson. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Leonard's memory to Sawneys Creek Baptist Church, 14605 State Highway 34 E. Ridgeway SC 29130.
