It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Greta Rector of Blythewood, South Carolina, born in Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Minzor Z. Chadwick and Sarah I. Chadwick; her husband Melvin L. Rector; and her siblings, Ronald A. Chadwick and Sarah "Ree" Bullock.
She is survived by: her siblings, Minzor W. Chadwickand and Derry C. Grant; her daughter Angela D. Rector; her grandchildren, Kaylee A. Vaughn (Preston) and Dean A. Boilek (Allie); and her great grandchildren, Blaire E. Vaughn and Grayson D. Vaughn. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces that knew her as the "fun" aunt.
