He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl Swafford; his son David Wallace Nelson Jr.; his stepdaughters, Felicia Sightler (Tony) and Rachel Hardwick (Greg); his grandchildren, Alexus Sightler, McKenzie Sightler, Nolan Hardwick and Nora Hardwick; and his siblings, Ronnie, Levon, Mike, Karen, Eva and Linda.
