He was predeceased by: his parents, Escar Sevantus and Rosalie Reeder Smith; and his wife Laura Bell Derden Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Donald Ray Smith (Shirley) of Rancho Cordova, CA, Steven Escar Smith (Natalie) of Knoxville, TN and Michael Robin Smith of Blythewood. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
