He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Tomlin McGarvey; his parents, Warren William McGarvey and Virginia Benton; and his sister Emily Patricia McGarvey Tiedemann. He is survived by: his son Randy McGarvey, Jr. (Danielle); his stepson Larry Barnwell (Sue); his brothers, George McGarvey, Mark McGarvey and Billy McGarvey; and his grandchildren, Rylan Catcher McGarvey, Lela Nicole McGarvey, Sarah Barnwell, Abbey Barnwell, Luke Barnwell and Olivia Barnwell.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton (90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to go to the Hilton Head Baseball Association for underprivileged children in assisting with fees, equipment, cleats, etc. You can donate by sending a check or Venmo with memo: "Coach Mac.".
