He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy O. Peterson, Sr. and Helen Peterson (Foley); his sons, Stephen Roy Peterson and Christopher James Peterson; and his sister Muriel Ensing (Peterson).
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Peterson (Federko); his daughter Jennifer (Thomas York); his grandchildren, Erin (Oliver Bouteiller), Lucas York, Justin York and Natalie York; and his sisters, Jean Parmelee (Peterson) and Ruth Pipkin (Peterson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
