She was predeceased by: her parents, John Perkins and Ethel Perkins; and her siblings, Claude F. Perkins and Norma Perkins McAllister. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Linda Schick (Richard), Polly Bailey (Gary), Sherree Barton (Baynard), Jeanne McAllister, Claude "Buzz" Perkins (Ruby), John Perkins, Jeff McAllister (Michele) and Andrew McAllister (Holly); and her brother-in-law Herbert McAllister.
Opal was an active member of the Garden Club, American Cancer Society, the Woman's Club, and a lifelong fan of NASCAR.
