He is survived by: his wife Celestine Nelson; his siblings, Vivian Wise, Beatrice Bailey and Jacob Nelson; his children, Freeman Green and Deborrah Coleman; his brother Albert Nelson of Ridgeland, SC; his children, Neptune Nelson, Jr. (Sheila) of Charleston, SC, Anthony Jerome Nelson of Beaufort, SC, Kenneth Green (Princetta), Michael Van Nelson of Jacksonville, FL, Kathleen Brown, Merline Williams of Beaufort, SC and Nadine Nelson-Edwards (Darrell) of Peachtree City, GA; and his caregiver Deborah Taylor. He is also survived by grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
