He was predeceased by: his father Edward T. Garrity; his stepfather Wendell E. Smith; his mother Lois P. Hanney; his son Michael F. Garrity Jr.; his sister Judy G. Garrity; and his wife Susan Kraemer.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Ann Grinko (Robert) and Timothy Wendell Garrity (Enza); his sister Mary Garrity Bocchino (John); and his grandchildren, Liam Garrity, Finnegan Garrity, Dylan Grinko and Jillian Grinko.
