In loving memory of Marilyn Oesterling (Bluffton, South Carolina), born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on May 7, 2024 at the age of 92. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marilyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Tury Oesterling of Caroline's Cottage; her parents, John Heck and Olive Heck; and her sister Nina Ann Chandler. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Webb-Browning (Chuck) of Bluffton, SC and Jill Nevins of Roaming Shores, OH; her grandchildren, Chelsey Webb, Joe Webb (Isis) and Erin Lampman; and her brother John "Jay" Francis Heck III (Janet) of Lincoln City, Oregon.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

“I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your mother, but I admired her. I live directly across the course from her. I watched her do yard work almost everyday. My husband and I moved in last August. I tried to get myself over to say hello, but never got the chance. I am sorry for your loss. 93 and doing yard work, is amazing.
