He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Sweeney and Sally Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Denise Wagner Sweeney; his daughters, Christy Bacon (Brian) and Jennifer Syno (Matt); his siblings, James Sweeney (Maricela), Ann Marshall (Jim) and Dan Sweeney (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Connor, Bryson, Ashlynn Bacon and Braedon Syno.
While able he was active advocating for Alzheimer's research and public awareness in hopes future generations would not have to deal with this disease.
