He is survived by: his wife Julie Goldsmith Ashton of Bluffton, SC; his children, John William Ashton IV, Robin Ashton and Devon Ashton; his siblings, Pier Davis (Dan) of Dublin, OH, Erin Canaday (Jeff) of Dublin, OH and Morgan Ashton (Tamara) of Alexandria, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Ryan Davis, Paige, Ben Aicher, Addison and Ella Ashton. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
