It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Atkins of Bluffton, South Carolina, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 8, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Dorothy; and his siblings, Bernice, Dorothy, Harry and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Pontarelli); his children, Phyllis Ann Jablonowski James, Jr. (Tom), Laura Baranko (Joe), Stephanie Nowak (Pete), Leslie Kremp (Steve), John (Elizabeth) and Andréa; his grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew (Shanna), James III, Lindsey, Quinn, Alex, Tyler, Megan, Brianna, Julia, Lexie, Elena, Monica, Jasper, Evelyn, Twiyla and Emily; and his sister Ann Padova (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
