It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellis Stearns III of Bluffton, South Carolina, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ellis Johnson Stearns, Jr. and Ruth Coquille Stearns; his wife Vonnie; his children, Angie Harting (Bill) of Bluffton, Mark (Rose) of Frisco, Texas and Dan (Kim) of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Rob Harting, Laura Vreeland, Matthew Stearns (Amanda), Brittany Auclair (Steve) and Shayna Bolton (John-Mark); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Liam, Maggie, Madison, Rollins and Charlotte.
