It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Emerson Meara of Bluffton, South Carolina, born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 9, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude and William of Weymouth; and his children, Sean Meara and Nicole Meara. He is survived by: his wife Anne Meara; his children, Kim Slinn (Steve), Ned II (Renee), Thomas (TJ) and Jeffrey Meara (Maureen Wiss); the mother of his children Elaine Meara; and his stepchildren, Russell (Josephine Stola), Frank (Nicole Stola), Laura Christie (Bill) and Mandy O'Sullivan (Stola). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
