He was predeceased by: his grandson Brendan Petry. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his daughter Ellen (Terence Whalen); his granddaughters, Hadley, Brielle Whalen and Jennifer Somero; his sons, Martin and Donald Jr. (Maryanne Petry); and his close friend Shih Tzu.
