It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alexander Scott Achterberg of Bluffton, South Carolina, born in Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles Achterberg, Vincent Frazier and Elsie Hollis. He is survived by: his parents, Jeffrey Achterberg and Marilyn Achterberg; his brother Ryan Achterberg (Abbi); his nephews, Evan and Noah Achterberg; his niece Kate Achterberg; and his grandparents, Bernice Eileen Frazier, Yvonne Achterberg and James Hollis. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society in Columbus, IN or to the donor's choice of charities.
