She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Thomas Dees and Mattie Gray Dees; her siblings, Thomas Dees, Laura Dees Mayes and Etta Sue Dees Butts; her grandson John Anthony Masso; and her great grandchild Mackenzie Grayce Gore.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Eugene "Gene" Lord, Jr. (Tscharner), Janet Lord Lesley (James), David Allen Lord (Latonna) and Lisa Lord Parker (Ken); her grandchildren, Randy McCall, Jr. (Chasity), Chastity Rummage (Rodney), Shelley Rholetter (Jason), Erin Blue, James "Jimmy" Lord, Stevie Lord, Lee Lord and Ansley Kipp (Jordan); and her close friend Curtis Parker. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
