It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Remell Harley of Blackville, South Carolina, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Graham Jones and Thomas Jones; her husband James "Bo" Harley, Sr.; her daughter Shirley S. Harley; her granddaughter Landrea Harley; her daughters, Linda Ansley and Ann Laura Johnson; her granddaughter Carolyn Ansley Ferguson; her sisters, Elouise Jones Johnson and Herlie Mae Jones Staley; and her parents-in-law, Frank Harley, Sr. and Ethel Delve Harley.
She is survived by: her children, Bettie Harley Salley (Randy, Sr.), Barbara Harley Davis (Antonio) of Barnwell, James Harley, Jr. of Blackville, Bobby J. Harley, Sr. of Blackville, Carmichael Williams of Blackville, Jerry Summerlin of Gatson, Robert Sapp (Patricia) of Virgina, Katherine Johnson of Bamberg and Gloria Fribley (Winfield) of Brooksdale, Florida; her grandchildren, LoToya C. Mays, Kendra L. Harley, Tenika Calhoun, Bobby C. Harley, Javaris Dukes, Chandresh L. Harley, Bobby J. Harley, Jr., Shamon Harley-Gilmore (Ro), Steven Ansley, Stephanie Ansley, Curtis Ansley, Randy E. Salley, Jr., Dania S. Gilyard (Angelo), Victoria T. Anthony, Tia Rumph and Jaylyn Anthony; her brothers, Amos Jones (Sherrie Ann) of Aiken, Joe Lewis Jones (Betty) of Aiken and Joseph Jones (Estella) of Aiken; her siblings-in-law, Deacon William Harley (Elouise) of Blackville, William Ray of Blackville, Hattie Harley of Blackville and Dorothy Harley of Atlanta, Georgia; and her nephew Jordan R. Gibson of Blackville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dash's Funeral Home - Blackville (19620 Solomon Blatt Ave, Blackville, SC 29817). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (3572 Dexter St, Blackville, SC 29817).
