She was predeceased by: her parents, William Samuel Sr. and Annie Lou Collins Guess of Blackville, SC.; her husband Archie Lamar Caughman; her son Samuel Henry Caughman; her siblings, W. S. "Buck" Guess (Arie), Robert "Bobby" Guess, Sara Lee Guess Gramling (Clarence) and H. Mae Guess Davis (G. W.); and her nephew Steve Gramling.
She is survived by: her son Lonnie Caughman (Jeannie) of Columbia, SC; her goddaughter Kipper Edens Ackerman of Sumter; her cousins, Cindy Tomlinson (David), Martha Ann Stuckey (Lee), George Davis (Evone), Robert Guess, Jr. (Donna), Twila Kingsmore (Sam), Risa Addy Locklare (Bobby) and Peggy A. Gramling; and her sister-in-law Tanya Guess.
