He is survived by: his wife Deborah Chavis; his children, Crystal Chavis (Jack Peeples) of Williston, Laura Thompson (Carl) of Columbia, Lloyd Chavis (Jasmine) of Beaufort and Melanie Mosier (Nicholas) of Blackville; his grandchildren, Johnny, Athena, Jorden, Aubree, Trinity, Kason, Laya, Wyatt and Amelia Ryn; his great grandchild Colton; and his siblings, Mary Hutto, Bobby Chavis (Paula), Randy Chavis and LeRoy Chavis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
