He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn D. Hicks; his sister Lisa S. Hicks; his grandmothers, Zelma Ephriam and Jessie Mae Ray; and his great-grandparent Deacon Lovant Hicks.
He is survived by: his father Douglas Ray; his children, Madison Hicks of Georgia and Kirk Hicks, Jr.; his siblings, Jeffery Hicks (Gloria), Travis Ray and Tomeka Ray; his goddaughter Caitlin Minus; his nephew Coby Hicks; and his great-aunts, Mary Perry and Gloria Hicks. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dash's Funeral Home - Blackville (19620 Solomon Blatt Ave, Blackville, SC 29817). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (3572 Dexter St, Blackville, SC 29817).
