It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed McCormick Jr. of Blackville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie McCormick and Kitty McCormick; his son Chuck McCormick; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Beatrice Purvis.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Purvis McCormick; his siblings, Tim McCormick (Katie) and Patty Ann Frost (George); his daughter Theresa Pacheco; his grandchild Lillyanne Baxley; his sister-in-law Jane P. Bennett; and his nieces and nephews, Heather Peters (Michael), Kevin McCormick (Jill), Katelyn Delk (Ryan), Tori, Wesley Frost, Kristin Sellers (Thomas), Todd Bennett (Piroujak), Sara Bennett, Michael Bennett, Stephen Smeltzer, Ashley Smeltzer and Blaze Baxley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A reception will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family has asked that memorials be made to Unity Baptist Church, 5504 Hilda Rd., Blackville, SC 29817.
