In loving memory of Denton Slaughter Ussery of Blackville, South Carolina, who departed this world on December 17, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Leon Ussery and Pura Still Ussery; his wife Peggy Grubbs Ussery; and his siblings, Sylvia Ussery Sanders and Henry Leon Ussery.
He is survived by: his children, Mitzi Weeks (Mickey) of Cameron, SC and Dent Ussery, Jr. (Reneé) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Michael Weeks (Neilly), Matthew Weeks (Elizabeth Allen), Annabelle Ussery, Camille Ussery and Lillah Ussery; and his nephews, Derek Sanders and Keith Sanders. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given in Mr. Denton's memory to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, 810 Maxwell Ave., Greenwood, SC 29648 or to the charity of one's choice.
