She was predeceased by: her parents, Darris Sanders and Irene Ray Sanders; her spouse Francis L. "Frank" Gunnells; her brother Clifford Sanders; and her brother-in-law Harvey Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Gale Collins (Terry) of Elko, SC, Betsy Chavis, Jr. (Frank) of Blackville, SC and Larry Lavern Gunnells of Blackville, SC; her sisters, Priscilla Sanders (Barry Creech) of Blackville and Grace Wilson of Hilda, SC; her sister-in-law Shirley Sanders; and her grandchildren, LeGrande Collins, Larry Gunnells, Jr., Hunter Gunnells (Kendra), Trey Chavis, III (Rebecca) and Alyson Taylor "Nookie" Owens (Blake). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
