He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Freeman, and Pauline Flynn Freeman, Sr.; his son Michael D. Freeman; and his siblings, Carol Bagwell and Robert Jack Freeman.
He is survived by: his son Johnny Ray Crompton (Sharlene) of Blackstock; his sister Betty Callahan of Prestonburg, KY; his grandchildren, Christopher Ray Crompton (Haena), Kasey Nichole Crompton and Ashley Crompton (Colin Rupp); his great grandchildren, Hyacinth Crompton and Felix Rupp; and his niece Kelly Callahan.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made in Mr. Freeman's name to Fountain of Life Church of God.
