He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Cooper Bailey and William Richard Bailey; his son Michael "Mike" Winford Bailey; his siblings, Rayford "Sonny" Bailey, Larry Wayne Bailey, Nannie Sue Wilkins and Winnie Linder; his nephew Ronnie Eugene Griffin; and his niece Renee Denise Wilkins.
He is survived by: his wife Debora Henson Bailey; his stepchildren, Steven Davis Shytle (Wendy) of Gaffney and Deanna Shytle Fulton of Blacksburg; his sister Cecile Mabry (Ed) of Cowpens; his niece Sherri Lee (Doug) of Gaffney; his stepgrandchildren, Leia Russ (Thomas), Blake Shytle, Maggie Shytle and Tyler Shytle; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia Russ and Oliver Russ.
