He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Smith Jones and Gusse Beam Jones. He is survived by: his children, Wendall Jones of Charlotte, NC, Mark Jones (Betsy) of Shelby, NC, John R Taylor (Desire) of Oakboro, NC and Regina Pitman (Curt) of Shelby, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
