Valaree Peterson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valaree Peterson of Blacksburg, South Carolina, who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millege Batchler and Pearl Rippy Batchler; her former husbands, James Aulton Eaker and John L. Peterson; her son Reno; and her siblings, Darvee Batchler, Kathleen Blackwelder, Oveida Ellis and Hildred Hannon.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Jackson; her children, Joy Painter and Doug Eaker (Verlene); her grandchildren, Randy Painter (Lorrie) and Heather Millwood (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Taylor Raines, Jalyn Painter, Corbin Ledbetter and Paizley Millwood; and her nephew Ricky Batchler.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gordon Mortuary (400 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gordon Mortuary Chapel (400 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702).
