He was predeceased by: his parents, Stoy William and Mary Louise Tucker Deaton; his brother Donald Raye Deaton; and his brothers-in-law, John L. Giles and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Brigitte Peeler Deaton; his children, Amanda George of Gaffney, Crystal Cole of Gaffney, Tonya C. Blanton (Tracy) of Gaffney, Jennifer Courtney (Alan) of Gaffney, Nichole Wallace of Aiken, SC, Manson and Daniel Deaton; his sisters, Brenda Giles of Blacksburg, Wanda Dixon of Blacksburg, Sue Bridges (Randy) of Blacksburg and Joyce Jolly (Melvin) of Blacksburg; his grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor Courtney of Gaffney, Mary Beth Blanton of Gaffney, Jerrica Bailey (Jake) of Mooresboro, NC and Peyton Pennington (Blake) of Gaffney; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Walker and Bailey.
