It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Matuska (Blacksburg, South Carolina), born in Savanna, Illinois, who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Matuska and Elizabeth "Betty" Weaver; and his brothers, Brad and Greg Kruse. He is survived by: his children, Richard Matuska of Blacksburg and Amy Kirby (Kenneth) of Blacksburg; his siblings, Rod, Randy, Danny Wagenknect, Frank Matuska Jr., Curt Kruse, Teena Peeler, Helen Powell, Evelyn Matuska and Kelley Matuska; his stepmother Doris Faye Matuska; and his granddaughters, Samantha and Jennifer KIrby (Blacksburg). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
