She was predeceased by: her parents, Artie Estelle Turner Martin and Ben Miller Martin; her husband Tommy Blanton; and her children, William "Billy" Culbertson and Kimberly Mullinax.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Culbertson Pate (Mark) of Blacksburg, Michael Culbertson (Cheryl) of Gaffney, Stephen "Steve" Culbertson of Blacksburg and Shannon (Amy Culbertson).
