He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McDaniel and Maude Poteat McDaniel; and his siblings, Thelma Lanier, Edith Walker, Mary Lee Tessner, Frank McDaniel and Dwight McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Eloise Hambright McDaniel; his children, Chris McDaniel (Cecelia) and Tina McDaniel; his grandchildren, Jessica Watson (Paul) of San Antonio, Texas, Sarah Lux (Dane) of Orlando, Florida, Savannah Powell (Brad) of Blacksburg, Hunter Wright of Blacksburg, Jeremy Wright (Faith) of Blacksburg, Jared Wright of Blacksburg and Hayden Joy Wright of Blacksburg; his great grandchildren, Grayson Watson and Paxton Wright; and his godparents, Jonathan Daniel Sisk, Payton Lester, Camden Clark and Lynn Nasato.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
