He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Elaine Hampton Rape; and his parents, Pauline Rape and Theodore Rape (Pete). He is survived by: his children, Tim Rape (Cyndi) of Blacksburg, Lisa Bloom (Andre) of Blacksburg and Susanne Duncan (Mark) of Gaffney; his sisters, Shirley Wessinger of Chester and Trudy Scruggs of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Haley Rape of Shelby, Samantha McCombs (Brian) of Taylors, Zach Rape (Brittiany) of Blacksburg, Justin Bloom (Kristen) of Cowpens, Heidi Bloom, Andrew Bloom of Blacksburg, Tyler Duncan (Brandi), Courtney Blakley and Marissa Duncan of Gaffney; his great grandchildren, Kaden Huskey, Kasen Bloom, Stella Kate Bloom of Cowpens, Kiaya Rape of Blacksburg, Jace Duncan and Ava Duncan of Gaffney; and his cousin Bonnie Orr of Chester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
