He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Patterson Pennington; his parents, Andrew William Pennington and Elsie Collins Pennington; his grandfather Gus Collins; and his siblings, Carolyn Elizabeth Pennington Roark (Tommy) and Dewey Wayne Pennington.
He is survived by: his son Harold Dean Pennington, Jr. (Laurinda) of Blacksburg, SC; his grandchildren, Allison Elizabeth (Victor) and Andrew William (Madyson); his daughter Paula Pennington Cobb (Kelee) of Blacksburg, SC; his grandsons, William Dean (Anna) and Kaleb Christian; his great grandchild Luke David; his aunt Bonnie Sue Collins Depperman; his sisters-in-law, Beth Patterson Dalton, Celia Patterson Pribble (Daryl) and Sadie Patterson Lowery (Steven); and also Andrew Pennington. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (121 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, Blacksburg.
