It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Thomas of Blacksburg, South Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neely Thomas and Minerva Moore Thomas; his wife Brenda Ellis Thomas; and his brothers, Wayne Thomas and Dr. Neil Thomas, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Tena Thomas Earls (Verdell) and Johnny Thomas (Patty) of Blacksburg, SC.; his grandchildren, Melanie Henderson (Forrest) and Neely Thomas (Trina); and his great grandchildren, Kelci, Danica, Bradley, Tanner, Kaleb, Trinly, Ethan and Kinsley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Paran Baptist Church (105 Mount Paren Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church (105 Mount Paren Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Paran Baptist Church, 105 Mt Paran Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
