With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Lawing (Blacksburg, South Carolina), who passed away on October 11, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lawing and Lydia Hampton Lawing (L. A.); his daughter Lisa Martin; his sister Audrey L. Biddix; and his grandson Brandon Harrell.
He is survived by: his wife Victoria McCloskey Lawing; his children, Douglas E. Lawing, April Green (Brian), Lynette Nance, Chucky Levecchio (Stacy Beach) and Vincent Lavecchio (Pier); his grandchildren, Chris Lankford, Angela Green, Shyann Humphries, Kira Green, Alan Ruppe, Brandy Sisk, Cameron Ruppe, Kristen Lavecchio, Brooke Dawkins, Chloe Lavecchio, Justin Bolin, Mikayla Lavecchio, Olivia Lavecchio, LeeAnn Jones and BJ Harrison; and his nieces, Cindy Smith and Penny Anthony. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
