It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Owens of Blacksburg, South Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Hamrick and Virginia Muriel Dover Hamrick; her brother-in-law Vick Rollins; her great grandchildren, Jaxon Cooper, Jayse Cooper, Ellee Cooper, Emersyn Cooper and Cole Cooper; and also Lee "Hoot" Homer Parker.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Owens; her daughters, Angie Cooper (Danny) of Shelby, NC, Lorieann Byars (Scott) of Blacksburg and Dana Weaver (Chris) of Blacksburg; her stepchildren, Melissa Huffstetler (Tommy) of Shelby, Tina Haskin of Shelby, Johnny Owens (Vondie) of Shelby and Keith Owens (Bonnie) of Grover; her sister Diana Rollins of Shelby, NC; her grandchildren, Ethan Cooper (Hailey), Ben Cooper (Madison), Corrie Rindone (Kevin) and Drake Byars; her great grandchildren, Delaney Cooper, Wren Cooper, Millie Jane Cooper, Finleigh Marie Rindone and Cal Cooper; and her nieces, Pam Turner and Amy Blanton.
