It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Childers (Blacksburg, South Carolina), born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Franklin Childers and Alma Sue Fowler Childers. He is survived by: his children, Shane Childers (Jennifer), Bryan Childers (Samantha) and Leah Brown (Chucky); his stepchildren, Rusty Fortenberry and Lori Fortenberry; his sisters, Becky Varner and Rhonda Childers; and his grandchildren, Clayton (Shawnda), Bryce, Lydia, Abigail, Conner, Logan, Jackson, Elijah, Shaylee, Charlie, Jessie and Josie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
