He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Hugo Smith, Sr. and Etta Mae Lee Smith; and his brother William J. Smith of Columbia, SC.. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas L. Smith of Mayesville, SC, Gerald G. Smith (Deborah) of Columbia, SC and Faye S. McLeod of Mayesville, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
