He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Hugo Smith, Sr. and Etta Mae Lee Smith; and his brothers, William J. Smith of Columbia, SC and Victor H. Smith, Jr. of West Columbia, SC.. He is survived by: his siblings, Gerald G. Smith (Deborah) of Columbia, SC and Faye S. McLeod of Mayesville, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Bethany Baptist Church, 1146 Manville-Saint Charles Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.
