It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Ammons Baker in Bishopville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ammons and Mary Ammons; her husband Louis; her sons, Sammy Baker of Rock Hill, SC and Alan Baker of Nashville, TN; and her siblings, Eula Scott of Charleston, Edith Cook of Sumter and Thomas Ammons of Ashwood.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Baker of Calabash and Gayle Baker of Little River, SC; her grandsons, Ray Baker of Darlington and Jeffrey Baker (Amanda) of Huntsville, AL; and her daughter-in-law Anita H. Baker of Rock Hill. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Piedmont Cemetery (719 Sumter Hwy, Bishopville, SC 29010).
