He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alexander and Stella Ruth Cobb Stephens; his uncle F. C.; his aunt Lillie Mae Humphrey; and his brother James Robbie Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Brazell Stephens of Bethune; his children, Mark Stephens (Julie) of Newnan, GA, Mitchell Stephens (Amber) of Bethune, Miles Stephens (Ruth) of Bethune and Jahala Williams (T. H.) of Jefferson; and his cousin Larry Cobb. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
