It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lila Faye Atkinson (Bishopville, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Lee and Dorothy Carmon Lee; her husband A. Z. Atkinson; her brother Otis Lee; her grandson Shane Saverance; and her brother-in-law Thomas Windham.
She is survived by: her children, Reese Atkinson (Melinda) of Bishopville, SC, William Atkinson of Lynchburg, SC, Steven Atkinson (Kassie) of Lamar, SC and Beth Hopkins (James) of Bishopville, SC; her siblings, Sammy Lee (Patricia), Ronnie Lee (Amy), Emma Morrison (John), Ellen Windham and Connie Casey (David); her grandchildren, Brittany Hyman (Keith), Reese Atkinson (Katelyn), Devin Atkinson, Kaitlyn Atkinson, McKinley Atkinson, Ryder Atkinson, Samantha Bryant (Tyler), Pepper Glass and Brair Huntley; and her great grandchildren, Mille, Andi, Rivers, Tucker and Trevor.
