He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jones Dargan; his son Karl Frederick Dargan (Fred); and his brother Frederick Mishoe "Freddy" Dargan. He is survived by: his daughter Ann Elizabeth "Lil" Surprenant (Jason); his grandchildren, Archer McDonald and Sage McDonald; and his siblings, Blanche Dargan Horton (Richard), Walter Dargan (Anita) and Hugh Dargan (Mary Palmer). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
