He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray "Jimmy" Smith Sr. and Mary Ruth Grantham Smith; and his grandparents, L. W. Smith, Ruby Segars Smith, Jennings Grantham and Mary Frances Redick Grantham.
He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Smith (Sheila) of Bishopville, SC and Tammie Lanford (Mark) of Bishopville, SC; his nieces and nephews, Laci Tobens (Craig), B. J. Smith and Blake Lanford (Chelsea); his great-niece Kady Lanford; and his great-nephew Nash Tobens.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Children's Fund at Ashwood Church of the Nazarene or Memorial Chapel.
