He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hancock and Julia Caughman Hancock; his brother Harold Hancock; and his brother-in-law Rev. Charles Miller. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Outlaw Hancock of Bishopville; his son James Evan Hancock; his daughter-in-law Crystal Hancock of Bishopville; his grandchildren, Austin Benton, Jacob Benton (Ansley Morrison) and Julia Hancock; his sister Helen Geraldine Miller of Surfside Beach; and his sister-in-law Lucie Hancock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
