He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wilson Hawkins and Maggie Lou "Lula" Baker Hawkins; his son Paul Hawkins; and his siblings, Wilbur Hawkins and Anna Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Logan Hawkins; his children, Debra Mims (Kenny) and Sammy Hawkins of Ashwood, SC; his grandchildren, Michael, Serena, Kayla, Katie and Wilson; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Harmony, Abigayle, Gianna, Lee and Liam; and his brother Tommy Hawkins (Martha).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Piedmont Cemetery or Agape Hospice.
