It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Bowman (Bishopville, South Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Eugene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Square Deal Funeral Home Chapel (106 Mc Intosh St, Bishopville, SC 29010). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Barnettesville Baptist Church (106 Manville Saint Charles Rd, Bishopville, SC 29010).

“I am so sorry to just today February 13th to hear about my Morris College Friend Eugene’s passing. He and I talked for 1 hour and 42 minutes on January 31, 2025. He was a joy to talk with and we shared many of our college stories, military experiences, family and church conversation. I truly will miss him and our very long telephone calls. May God give you the peace that will carry you through this never before journey that you are now experiencing. Charlie McBride.”
